Viewpoint Dependent Imaging <1981>

This is an interactive stereoscopic display configuration that provides binocular parallax, motion parallax, and motion perspective depth cues by determining the viewer's head position with a magnetic tracker. The correct viewpoint for the current head position is selected and displayed in realtime from an optical videodisc holding over 5000 different viewpoints of a scene.
